Gabriel Kowalczyk joined the Center for Craniofacial and Dental Genetics as a data scientist in 2024. He obtained bachelor’s degrees in both bioinformatics and nonfiction writing from the University of Pittsburgh.

At the CCDG he is using his experience in image processing, computational biology and scientific programming to analyze associations between oral health and systemic disease. Outside of the lab and office, Gabriel enjoys baking, running, gaming, traveling, and playing with his cat.
